Research Intern—Marketing and Visitor Services
(Non-Union, Unpaid Internship Position)
Requirements:
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research design
- Proven experience running statistical tests in SPSS, analyzing data, and presenting findings in the appropriate format. College-level coursework in statistics
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets and charts and with MS Word
- Familiarity with the online survey product Survey Monkey is preferred
- Interest in the arts and audience development
- Ability to work independently toward team goals
- Professional demeanor with proven ability to work with others at various levels in an organization
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Graduate student/college degree preferred; honors-level undergraduate student with advanced training considered
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on Museum visitor survey data (current and historical)
- Review and report on Museum admission statistics captured within the Museum's ticketing database
- Develop and conduct interviews
- Coordinate audience focus groups
Reports to: Manager of Marketing and Visitor Services
Starting Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: Up to 5 hours per day, one day a week
Compensation: Museum volunteer status; school credit
