Norman M. Feinberg
Chair, Board of Trustees
Brooklyn Museum

Norman M. Feinberg was elected Chair by members of the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Museum in July 2006. A member of the Board since 1990, Mr. Feinberg succeeded longtime Chair Robert S. Rubin, who continues as a Board member. Born and raised in Brooklyn, where he attended Erasmus Hall High School, Norman Feinberg is a graduate of New York University. He is President and Chief Executive of the Gateside Corporation, a commercial, residential real estate development and investment company, with offices located in his award-winning building in the International Corporate Center in Rye, New York. Because of his keen interest in art, the extensive use of artworks throughout his projects has become a Gateside hallmark. In addition to buying and developing apartment, office, and industrial buildings in seven states, he has built one of the largest marinas in the country. He also has substantial business interests in France. Mr. Feinberg has long been involved in philanthropic causes and is a Trustee of St. Mary’s Healthcare System, which specializes in rehabilitation programs for children, where he was previously Board Chair, and received the Distinguished Trustee Award from the United Hospital Fund. A former member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, Mr. Feinberg is currently a member of the Chief Executives’ Organization and the World Presidents’ Organization. He and his wife Arline live in Manhattan and are collectors of modern and contemporary art.
