  • I wonder if the artist, as a boy, made the toys out of discarded materials, that many children in African countries make - the wonderful cars, planes, and bikes created out of metal and wire.

    I am awed by these large pieces that look so fluid, yet are created from hard metal pieces. Having only seen on or two of Anatsui's works at a time, I am delighted to have the opportunity to see so many of his works in one museum. Thank you.
