  • Hi La Toya!
Great exhibit....haunting indeed as some of these scenes are very relatable. This space brings back memories of growing up here in Brooklyn and visiting this very museum. One question, the photos of you and your mother with your feet in a solution in a foot pan. What is it? What are you doing? Having a paraffin treatment? I am wishing a happy thought for a moment. Hope you are well! Both Dees say hello! Xo Gianna

  • Is it merely a coincidence that you have chosen to reside I'm 3 cities whose names all begin with the word "New"? Where do you feel closer to home? Do you document similar stories in these new locations?

  • I see a lot of the past and the present via your use of mirror like reflections - whether or not there is an actual mirror in the photograph. What do you think these locations that you have photographed will look like in the future? I hope that they are not gentrified, but I wonder about your projections. Thank you for the chance to ask you my question.

  • Hello, I'm 15 years old. I like your photography. I was wondering why do you use black and white pictures for your collections ?

  • I love the intimate truth your work reveals. You are so bold and brave. How have companies, such as Levi's responded to your outcry for social and economical justice?
