All Members are invited to a preview and reception celebrating the opening of Yinka Shonibare MBE, the first major survey of the work of the UK-based Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare MBE. 



At 7 p.m. Members have the unique opportunity to hear the artist Yinka Shonibare MBE discuss his work with Dr. Anthony Downey, Programme Director, M.A. in Contemporary Art, Sotheby’s Institute of Art—London, in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd floor.



The exhibition will be on view in the Robert E. Blum Gallery, 1st floor; the Morris A. and Meyer Schapiro Wing, 4th floor; and the Period Rooms, 4th floor. The reception with light refreshments will be held in the Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion and Lobby.



Members must present their invitation, which admits two, for admission. The Museum Shop will be open until 9 p.m., but the Museum Café will be closed during this event.
