Nuyorican Poets Cafe, coined "the most integrated place on the planet" by Allen Ginsberg, has developed a one-of-a-kind partnership with the Brooklyn Museum, making us their Brooklyn satellite location for a six-month performance series through June 2011. The Brooklyn Museum is proud to host the acclaimed cafe, featuring poetry and performances by phenomenal artists traditionally underrepresented in mainstream media and culture. April’s event will feature an evening of improvisational and freestyle poetry by GBLTQ poets featuring Advocate of Wordz, The Great Apes, and others. Free with Museum admission. As seating is limited, advance ticket purchase for general admission is recommended at www.museumtix.com.
