The Brooklyn Museum Community Committee hosts its ninth annual Women in the Arts luncheon, honoring the award-winning, world-renowned photographer and video artist Shirin Neshat.
The event will begin with a brief overview of the artist’s distinguished career, followed by a conversation between Neshat and Catherine Morris, Curator of the Museum’s Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, and the presentation of the award. A reception and luncheon in the Beaux-Arts Court will follow from 1 to 3 p.m.
Tickets are $175 (Friend), $300 (Supporter), or $500 (Host). Tables for 10 are $1,800 (Advocate), $3,000 (Patron), or $5,000 (Benefactor). Museum admission is included in ticket price. For more information, or to purchase tickets, please contact the Community Committee at
