Women in the Arts 2011

The Brooklyn Museum Community Committee hosts its ninth annual Women in the Arts luncheon, honoring the award-winning, world-renowned photographer and video artist Shirin Neshat.
The event will begin with a brief overview of the artist's distinguished career, followed by a conversation between Neshat and Catherine Morris, Curator of the Museum's Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, and the presentation of the award. A reception and luncheon in the Beaux-Arts Court will follow from 1 to 3 p.m.
Tickets are $175 (Friend), $300 (Supporter), or $500 (Host). Tables for 10 are $1,800 (Advocate), $3,000 (Patron), or $5,000 (Benefactor). Museum admission is included in ticket price. For more information, or to purchase tickets, please contact the Community Committee at

Proceeds from this event will benefit the many artistic, educational, and cultural programs offered by the Brooklyn Museum and its Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art.
