7–7 pm
Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
In commemoration of World AIDS Day, the Museum presents a conversation with Larry Kramer, author of Broadway hit The Normal Heart, and Jonathan Katz, co-curator of HIDE/SEEK: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture. Kramer and Katz will discuss the play, a response to the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s, and how the issues that faced the gay community then continue to be relevant today. Tickets, which include Museum admission, are $10; $6 for members and cultural colleagues. Tickets are nonrefundable, and advance ticket purchase is recommended via www.museumtix.com.
