Raw/Cooked Artist Talk: Duron Jackson

Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 7 p.m.
American Identities: A New Look, 5th Floor

Join Bedford-Stuyvesant–based artist Duron Jackson and scholar and activist Rich Blint as they explore Jackson's installation Rumination, using the work as a jumping off point to contemplate themes of race and power embedded in American history and culture.

Jackson is the first artist in the second season of the Raw/Cooked exhibition series, which presents under-the-radar Brooklyn artists. As space is limited, advance ticket purchase for Museum admission and entrance to the program is recommended via www.museumtix.com. Museum Members receive free admission; please call the Membership Hotline at (718) 501-6326 for reservations.
