Tour: “How’d They Do It?”: “Workt by Hand”: Hidden Labor and Historical Quilts

Thursday, June 20, 2013

4–4 pm

Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, 4th Floor

Walk through the exhibition "Workt by Hand": Hidden Labor and Historical Quilts with Anita Grossman Solomon, internationally recognized author and teacher of quilt-making, as she engages in a dialogue about the process of quilting. She will speak about different techniques and offer her thoughts about how the quilts on view might have been constructed.  Anita teaches for craftsy.com, blogs at makeitsimpler.com, and will be profiled in the September 2013 issue of American Quilter Magazine.  This program is free with Museum admission.
