Music: Charly & Margaux and Flutronix

Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 7 p.m.
Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor

Join us for an evening of music featuring two genre-defying groups who fuse their classical roots with a wide range of musical influences, creating a wholly contemporary sound. The Brooklyn-based string composers of the indie duo Charly & Margaux have a distinct style that combines baroque, East Asian folk, and blues. Both artists were classically trained at Boston College and Berklee College of Music. The eclectic flutists Nathalie Joachim and Allison Loggins-Hull of Flutronix navigate daring forms of popular, experimental, and contemporary classical music, along with electronic and digital effects.

Tickets are included with Museum admission and can be purchased in advance at www.museumtix.com or at the door. Museum Members receive free admission; please call the Membership Hotline at (718) 501-6326.
