Women in the Arts 2014
We are pleased to announce that this year's Women in the Arts honorees are Jennifer Rubell and Mera Rubell. For the past eleven years, the Brooklyn Museum has presented the annual Women in the Arts award for outstanding achievement by a leading member of the arts community in New York. In previous years of the event, we have had the exceptional privilege of honoring Laurie Simmons and Lena Dunham, Yoko Ono, Shirin Neshat, Kara Walker, Kiki Smith, Cindy Sherman, The Guerrilla Girls, Annie Leibovitz, Maya Lin, Mary Schmidt Campbell, and Elizabeth A. Sackler.
This year's benefit will be held on October 22, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Tickets begin at $300 and include a program and seated luncheon. Proceeds from the event support the many educational and artistic programs offered by the Brooklyn Museum and its Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art.
For more information and to secure your table now, please call the Development office at (718) 501-6436. You can also purchase tickets and tables online.
