4–6:30 pm
Education Division Studio 3, 1st Floor
NOTE: This event is currently full, and is no longer open for registration. Opinion pieces and explanatory texts and narratives, oh my! These are just a few of the types of writing we ask students to produce. This month, we’ll focus on an array of approaches that encourage students to improve and enjoy the writing process. Let our artworks help you produce inspired results during some unexpected writing activities. We’ll use strategies that work in museum and classroom settings and use analogue and digital tools. Come pick up new teaching ideas and let your own creative writer out to play. And if you don’t think of yourself as a creative writer, see if we can prove otherwise.
This free monthly series of workshops helps teachers engage with our collections and exhibitions. We welcome K–12 educators in all subject areas. Please come at 4 p.m. for coffee, snacks, and conversation. We’ll begin promptly at 4:30 pm.
Register in advance here or by phoning (718) 501-6236. If you have further questions, please email us.
