Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor
In this two-part film series, taking place April 9 and June 5, see through the eyes of Israeli, Palestinian, and other international filmmakers to explore a wide range of lived experiences and dig deeper into the stories behind the places and people depicted in the exhibition This Place.
The Cup Reader (Suha Araj, 2013, 12 min.)
Multiple generations of Palestinian women rhapsodize about love—anticipated, unrealized, or lost—as translated through a fortuneteller named Warde.
Speed Sisters (Amber Fares, 2015, 80 min.)
The Speed Sisters are the first all-woman race car driving team in the Middle East. They’re bold. They’re fearless. And they’re tearing up tracks all over Palestine.
A conversation between the filmmakers follows.
