Museum Inside/Out: Journey through the Americas

9–11 a.m.
Hall of the Americas, 1st Floor

Museum Inside/Out is a special family event for Museum Members at the Contributor level and above. Journey from North to South America in this special event designed for families with children ages 8–14 years. Examine North and Central American feather headdresses, ornaments, sculpture, and game pieces brought out from storage with curators Nancy Rosoff and Susan Kennedy Zeller; journey through time with special books from the Museum’s Library; play a Native American Plains guessing game; enjoy Sunday brunch; and more. Music Off the Walls—"American Snapshots"

2–4 p.m.
Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor

In conjunction with the Museum's exhibition American Identities, members of the Brooklyn Philharmonic perform the pieces from three renowned American composers. Also hear Grammy, Pulitzer Prize, and Academy Award–winning composer John Corigliano speak about his music in this rare, intimate dialogue with a 21st-century icon. A gallery tour in American Identities follows.
