Arty Facts—"Animals in Art" Special Program

Meet in the Rubin Lobby, 1st Floor

The Brooklyn Museum and the Brooklyn Children's Museum collaborate to present a special Arty Facts program.
Discover animal imagery in the art of Northwest Coast Native Americans, examine natural history specimens such as a rattlesnake skull and grizzly bear claws, and create a work of art inspired by your discoveries.

Children's Book Fair

Panel Discussion "Exploring Caribbean Popular Culture through Music"

Morris A. and Meyer Schapiro Wing, 4th Floor

A panel featuring artist Miguel Luciano and scholars Raquel Z. Rivera and Sujatha Fernandes examines the cultural impact of different popular Caribbean musical styles, including soca, calypso, reggae, mambo, and merengue.
