Community: Comment: Gilbert & George

These comments were left by our visitors during the run of the Brooklyn Museum exhibition Gilbert & George from October 3, 2008 to January 11, 2009.

Something interesting happened. The projector bulb blew out with a loud bang in "The World of Gilbert and George" during the lord's prayer... took all a moment to realize it was not part of the installation. Loved "Gordon's" and Hope/Life/Death/Fear

These guys are classic British eccentrics, and in the tradition of folie a deux -- like two guys I knew in college, both named Chris, who took a lot of acid. I like the narcisism and the bright colors. Like Ferrante and Teicher, they make a bold impression.

Something about their fascination with (troubled?) youths reminds me of Larry Clark. This is "Kids" in technicolor, on acid. I mean that in the best way possible.

If Gilbert and George were God, it would explain everything.
