I was disappointed to find that about half the works shown here were mediocre and boring. The cellphone dialogues were condescendingly pontifical and overly rapturous. On the plus side, the sketches/studies were very interesting and informative of the artist's thought processes. What was of value, Caillebote's famous zooming perspectives and dramatic compositions and colors, did make the trip worthwhile.

Just had to come back and see it again today. I, as a beginning painter am in love with these works and consider these works as some of the best ever painted. Very impressive and enjoyable. Good show.

This exhibit shows the beauty of France and Paris. I have never been there myself yet but I must say, I like what I have seen. Breathtaking paintings. I can't believe their from the 1700s and 1800s!!! :D
