It pains me that I cannot actually shop from this exhibition, and take the delightful garments home.

Believe it or not, finding these outfits on Polyvore convince me that I had to see them in person! Yay Internet.

This show personifies passion. Charles James was the inspiration for me and my classmates at FIT. Seeing the clothing up close, brings back the exciting times the students examined fashion at the Met. This collaboration between the two museums is priceless. Thanks is not enough.

i really liked the dresses. i thought that the black cocktail dress shouldn't count as high fashion but it was still very cute. the dresses are awesome!

As anaspiring fashion designer, I foundn this exhibit extremely constructive in my perceptions of early fashion. I learne a little history behind the mazing deigners shown. I LOVE this exhibit. I was dissapointed when I was at the Met and the exhibit was closed, but happy it was on display here. They should have permanent exhibits similar to this in both locations.
