It's weird to think that we are standing next to things over a hundred years old. It's visible history.

the little wood boxes with music coming out of them lend nothing to the art and are distracting. there is no need to have them, the connection with the art is not clear at all, and it just spoils the quiet contemplation of the art. Please consider removing them!

I loved the pictures of the important looking people and how in some of them, the artist made them look like a digital picture now.
I believe that this exhibit displays an excellent variety of American art. I enjoyed it immensely.

All of the exhibits in this museum have their own personal flair and importance. Some have adopted and integrated other styles while others are basic and yet intriguing.
it was great to see what the us looked like in the past and how things have evolved to turn this nation into the nation of nations Whitman evoked in Leaves of Grass

Is "Web of Life" about winter and summer, or is it really about death and life? what about spring and autumn?

I found the exhibit to be interesting and to have a unique flair with the transition from one area/era of paintings to the next. Of all of the art works, including pottery and furniture and such, I most enjoyed the visible storage. The idea of peaking into someones attic for treasure was exciting and I would have enjoyed more.
What do you think about the American Identities: A New Look exhibit?
