Community: Posse: Sets: How-To

Posse members can create sets to organize objects and annotate, print, and share them. Check out this set on clouds, for an example. See below for a quick tutorial to get you started!

Step 1: Join the Posse

To create a set, you need to be a member of the Brooklyn Museum Posse. You can register, or if you already have a Posse account, login.

Step 2: Create the Set

Look for the set icon on any object record.

When you click on the set icon, you'll be prompted to create a new set or add this object to an existing set.

Sets can also be created and edited from within your Posse profile on your Sets tab. Get started by using the "Create a new set" link. Once you give the set a title and description, you can use the "Add Slide" feature to search for objects to add to your set.

Step 3: Edit the Set

Sets can be edited from within your Posse profile. You can add, delete, reorder, and annotate slides when editing your set. Some HTML is allowed in your annotations, so see the sidebar for a list of options.

Step 4: Share and Bring the Set

You can share your set easily—just look for the "Share this set" option in the sidebar. If you have a Web-enabled device, you can bring your set with you to the Museum.

Simply point your mobile browser to m.brooklynmuseum.org, go to "Your Settings," and sign in with your Posse account.

Once signed in, you'll find your set listed in the "Following" area of "Your Settings."
