Date of birth unknown; d. 1010, Córdoba, Spain

Aisha (Aisha, Ayisha, 'A'ishah, Ayesha), the daughter of Ahmad of Córdoba, was a poet and created a spectacular library of the arts and sciences. Apparently she chose to remain single. She flourished at a time when Córdoba was the cultural capital of Islamic Spain.
