Nossis
Flourished circa 310 B.C., Locri, Italy

A follower of Sappho, the poet Nossis lived around 310 B.C. in the southern Italian city of Locri. Twelve of her epigrams (short witty poems) survive, and their chief subjects are women, goddesses, childbirth, and children.
