Description:
This piece was censored from the "FOCUS" exhibition in Philadelphia: "Woman’s Work- American Art 1974" at tthe Philadelphia Civic Center Museum that was curated by a five-woman jury that included Marcia Tucker, a curator at the Whitney Museum, Lila Katzen, sculptor, Cindy Nemser, an art critic and editor of the Feminist Art Journal, Adelyn Breeskin, National Collection of Fine Arts, and Anne D'Harnoncourt, Philadelphia Museum of Fine Art.
The decision to censor the piece was made by John Pierron, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Civic Center and its Museum Curator, Marian Aguilera.
