Mother-Son Age Eight
This image is from the series: Mother/Son: seven triptychs each 27” x 55” 1996 This series is a photo/text installation of myself and my son from ages six to eighteen. I use autobiographical stories to display the subtly significant and significantly subtle ways we are taught to be male and female in our culture. Mother-Son Age Eight is a photo of my son at age eight with his crooked teeth, and me at age eight with my crooked teeth. His text is in bold, and my text is italic.
