Forever is Never - video projection at the Louise Blouin Institute, London
Sam Jury. Forever is Never - video projection at the Louise Blouin Institute, London, 2008.
Description:
A short looped video constructed from hundreds of still images; these being the discarded stages of making a photographically constructed 'hybrid' head via digital means. Constructed like a stop frame animation, 'Forever is Never' continually oscillates between the futuristic, almost science fiction, to Vermeer like painterly images, with several stages in between. The resultant moving image depicts a virtual portrait perpetually in flux that continually flickers and pulses through states of change to a rhythm akin to breathing.
