Description:
This is a sketch of a piece that was later made into a much larger piece. It has a geometric design that was influenced by Native Americans. Similar shapes are scattered throughout the picture. Along the sides are linen cross-woven pieces that are stitched and have a particular design. At the top and bottom of the piece are wood pieces with painted designs and in between the picture is an old discarded earring that I found. I wanted the viewer's eye to be constantly moving as they look.
