Education: Brooklyn Cultural Adventures Program

The Heart of Brooklyn seeks counselor and intern staff to work with the Brooklyn Cultural Adventures Program (BCAP) Summer Camp, an innovative day camp that weaves exciting connections between art, science, culture, and nature. The Summer Camp is organized by the Heart of Brooklyn, and activities take place at the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, Prospect Park, and Prospect Park Zoo.

BCAP Summer Camp Senior Counselor
Lead counselor teams and groups of children ages 7–12 during three, two-week summer sessions of BCAP Summer Camp. Must be 21 years of age or older, and have an interest in youth education in the arts and sciences.

BCAP Summer Camp Junior Counselor
Assist with leading groups ages 7–12 during three, two-week sessions of BCAP Summer Camp. Must be 18 years of age or older, and have an interest in youth education in the arts and sciences.

BCAP Express College Internship
Work behind-the-scenes and in the field to help produce a tour service that provides area day camps with staff-assisted tours at each Heart of Brooklyn member institution.

BCAP Stay-and-Play Summer College Internship
Coordinate and lead after-camp programming for BCAP day campers ages 7–12, including art, music, dance, theater, and games.
