Education: Teacher Leadership Program

Teachers who have a proven record of utilizing museum resources and have been nominated by supervisors or museum educators are invited to participate in the free Teacher Leadership Program, a forum to discuss connections between museum resources and teaching. Participants propose topics for monthly roundtable discussions and workshops facilitated by museum educators throughout the academic year.

The program offers teachers:

Free passes to the Brooklyn Museum
Free resources, such as lesson plans
Special tours led by museum educators and curators
A behind-the-scenes look at special exhibitions
Strategies for object-based teaching and learning
Opportunities to exchange ideas with other teachers
