High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, build your résumé while taking an art class free of charge! You will assist professional teaching artists in classes for students ages six through twelve, preparing art supplies, helping with group management in the studio and galleries, and working one-on-one with students. In return, you will take your own art class with other teens, for free.
All work-study students attend three meetings each semester: orientation, mid-semester professional development, and end-of-semester reflection.
The application form for the Summer 2013 semester is available! The deadline for applicants is May 12. You will be contacted via email within two weeks of the deadline to set up an interview, and will be informed of final decisions via email at least one week before classes begin.
Courses for children and teens ages 6–17. Choose the teen class you'd like to take for free before completing your application.
