Education: Meet the Museum

A program for the Museum’s youngest visitors and those who care for them, Meet the Museum meets every Thursday at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., providing toddlers ages two and three years old with opportunities to experiment with and explore art and culture through song, gallery activities, and art making. Adult companions work closely with their children and discover creative and fun ways to interact.

Each month features a different theme, such as “A-B-C Art,” which introduces pre-literacy concepts; “Clearly Colorful,” an exploration of colors; and “Art around the World,” focusing on the world cultures represented in the Museum's collections. The afternoon class is designed to be fun for both toddlers and their four-year-old siblings. There is a sibling discount of 10% for each additional child (maximum of two children per adult).

Meet the Museum is on summer hiatus and will return on Thursday, October 10. Registration for the fall session opens September 13, 2013.
