Street to Studio: The Art of Jean-Michel Basquiat, presented by JPMorganChase
The extraordinary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat created paintings and drawings filled with imagery that describes his ideas about life and the world around him. This web site allows you to examine his works of art in depth and to learn about the images he used.

Basquiat, an exhibition of Jean-Michel Basquiat's paintings, works on paper, and sculptures, was shown at three museums:

Basquiat was organized by the Brooklyn Museum. The national tour of Basquiat was sponsored by JPMorgan Chase.

Additional generous support was provided by Fernwood Art Foundation.

The exhibition was also supported by the Brooklyn Museum's Richard and Barbara Debs Exhibition Fund and the Museum's Contemporary Art Council. The Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities has granted an indemnity for this exhibition.
