Exhibitions: Click! A Crowd-Curated Exhibition: Evaluation FAQ

When does the evaluation period end?

The evaluation period ends on May 23, 2008, at midnight (Eastern Standard Time).

Do I have to evaluate all the submissions in one sitting or can I return to complete my evaluation?

You can come back at any time during the evaluation period to rate the submitted works you haven't yet rated. Just log on again.

I'm having trouble with the sliderbar. How do I get it to work?

Javascript must be enabled in your browser in order to access this part of our Web site.  You can test this here, or you can download and install the Firefox browser.

The pages are loading very slowly. Is there anything I can do to speed things up?

We are currently experiencing a very high demand on our servers.  We suggest evaluating during non-peak hours, such as the early morning or in the evening.

Why are the images being sequenced and presented this way? Why can't I skip around?

During the evaluation, we are aiming to minimize influence as much as possible. Images are presented without attribution and at random for each evaluator. The permalink in the address bar has been suppressed to prevent the forwarding of a direct link to any individual work. We've added a preview of the next two images to be evaluated, but neither are clickable.  If you are curious as to why some of these choices were made, you can read more in our blog.

Can I leave comments for specific works?

You can leave comments, but they won't be revealed until after the exhibition opens.  After the opening, comments will be displayed online with your first name only.

Will my evaluation ever be revealed with my name, or is this completely anonymous?

Although you do have to sign up for an account to evaluate submissions, your name will never be revealed at any point during the process. If you leave comments, only your first name will be displayed along with the comment on a specific work. Ratings are completely anonymous.

Is there anyone I can contact if I have other questions?

Please send us an e-mail.
