This photo is taken at the edge of the Atlantic Yards, future home to a complex that will include a basketball stadium, office space and housing. The new construction there promises not only to add congestion to the streets, but also to the already changing skyline. Taken with Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, ISO 200, f/5.6, focal length 52 mm.

Very nice. Would be better without the cars at bottom.
Just not a pretty picture.
layers of history sandwiched between new highrise and McDonalds
My second favourite. Though maybe that's because I already know from another shot that the Hot Bird is gone - the final triumph of McDonalds.
I always loved that HOT BIRD sign next to the McDonalds, hilarious.
I love this photo - it's as congested as the area really is and will be once the Atlantic Yards gets built. The old Brooklyn represented by the hot bird sign, the gas station, the older buildings vs. the commercial aspects with the mcdonalds sign and the condo really speak to theme. Nice vertical elements and the car brake lights really emblematic of the congestion to come with the arena.
Perfect in every way
