Artist Statement
I walk around observing the world finding multi-cultural communities, to the changing landscapes of my home Brooklyn. Being a person who is intrigued with history, I began documenting my surroundings to show it's process through time - a visual foundation. While at the the piers of Red Hook, Brooklyn I took the picture "Walking along the edge of Freedom". I witnessed a little boy balancing his body along the railing. With his arms outstretched, his body was beautifully aligned with the horizon and Statue of Liberty. He was a symbol of innocent freedom, a modern day Statue of Liberty.

That's a very nice capture. Could be significantly better if you cropped it well.
Great catch of the Statue of Liberty.
your compositions is nice, but your theme is a lie. This "free" area of Brooklyn is now reserved only for the elite.
great capture
could have been even better if Statue of Liberty was not caught between two pipes
I have to admit, looking through 303 submissions, I find this one absolutely striking! I found a few gorgeous submissions, but this one definitely tops it all! The contrast, subject matter, the dramatic/playful look...EVERYTHING is perfect! It also fits within the description of the exhibit! Absolutely gorgeous!
The sepia tone here is wonderful.
Nice pic...but no connection to the theme
access to these open spaces might be lost with the acquisition of public space for private development. The liberty statue appears locked between two spears, the boy is free to pass them
life is a circus
Crisp and evocative; the color both excites and relaxes.
