Exhibitions: Click! A Crowd-Curated Exhibition: Submission Guidelines
- Photographers are allowed to submit one photograph that captures “the changing faces of Brooklyn.” Brooklyn, like most of New York City, is in a constant state of change. Population growth and environmental causes have altered the borough’s terrain, transforming commercial and residential areas and impacting the borough’s residents and activity. Considering Brooklyn’s transformation over the years, its past and its present, please submit a photograph that captures the “changing face(s) of Brooklyn.” We welcome a wide variety of visual interpretations of this topic.
- An artist statement is required as part of the submission process. The statement (maximum 100 words) should describe how the submitted image pertains to the exhibition’s theme, “The Changing Faces of Brooklyn.” Please include a discussion of the photography technique(s) used.
- Submitted images must be in jpg format and no larger than 25MB. In addition, images must meet one of the following size requirements: a) at least 3000 pixels wide, minimum 72dpi; b) at least 2200 pixels wide, minimum 150dpi; or c) 2000 pixels wide, minimum 180dpi. Please make sure your image has a file extension of .jpg prior to uploading.
- Images should be mostly unmodified. Please do not submit photomontages, double exposures, or photos with alterations, such as borders, watermarks, or added text.
- Please do not submit images that are not artworks of photography (such as photos of paintings, screenshots, or illustrations).
- Photographs must be submitted electronically.
