In May 2006, artworks in William Wegman: Funney/Strange were presented in conjunction with an artist audio tour. Visitors to the exhibition could listen to Wegman’s recorded commentary using their cell phones. The William Wegman: Funney/Strange audio tour was a pilot initiative between the Brooklyn Museum and Guide by Cell, the first fully automated, outsourced audio company in the United States.
