Brooklyn Museum: FAQ: Artist Submission Guidelines

The Brooklyn Museum would like to learn about new work by artists worldwide. If you are an artist, or an artist's representative, and would like your work reviewed, please follow the guidelines below.

All submissions should include:

cover letter
biography and/or résumé
artist statement (up to 2 typed pages)
articles related to your work (up to 3 reviews/press coverage)
representation of work in one of the following formats:
- CD (no more than 10 labeled representative images)
- DVD (limit 10 minutes of material)
- For Web-based projects, please include URL address

Web sites not related to Web-based projects will not be visited.

Do NOT send original artworks. We cannot take responsibility for these materials and will not review them if received.

Please be advised that NO materials will be returned.

Due to the large volume of submissions, we often cannot respond individually. As it is the Museum's aim to present the most meaningful program to our audience, opportunities for inclusion in our exhibitions are very limited and highly competitive.
