The area in front of Temple A (1987), looking north to the enclosure wall. The 2 statues of Ramesses II that stood in front of the temple’s pylon lie on the ground. The largest piece of the stele discovered by M. Pillet (1920s) can be seen in the center of the picture. The stele discovered by the Brooklyn Museum expedition is just visible in front of the nearest statue.
