  • January 29, 1934 Brooklyn and Long Island artists will exhibit their paintings and sculpture at the Brooklyn Museum from January 30th to February 26th. The exhibition will open with a tea for members of the Museum, exhibiting artists and friends on Monday evening, the 29th.

    This is the second exhibition of this name held under the auspices of the Museum. The previous one having opened in November, 1930. Although there are a number of clubs and group showings in private galleries about town by resident artists of Brooklyn and Long Island, this exhibition is the one which brings then all under one roof. The catalogue lists ninety-nine exhibitors.

    Among the better known artists who will be included in the show are Maurice Sterne, Anders D. Johansen, Paula Eliasoph, Stefan Hirsch, John Cunning, Max Weber, William Starkweather, Robert Laurent, Margaret J. Postgate1 Mons Breidvik; Nicholas S. Macsoud, Samuel Rothbort, Daisy B. King, Loren Barton and Helen West Heller.
