American Lithuanian Women's Handicraft

May 4, 1939: A loan exhibition of Lithuanian Village Art will go on view at the Brooklyn Museum on Friday, May 5th, to continue through May 14th, which includes textiles, wood carvings, amber jewelry and peasant costumes. There will also be a Lithuanian dance and music program at 3:00 o’clock on Saturday, May 6th, at the Museum.
Lenders to the exhibition are Mrs. Jonas Budrys, wife of the Consul-General of Lithuania, Mrs. Aleksejus, Rev. John Balkunas, Mrs. J. Garszva, Mrs. M. Sinus, Mrs. Ona Valaitis, Mrs. J. Waluk and the Knights of Lithuania.

Fall approximately 1939: A three day meeting, September 7, 8 and 9 will be held at the Brooklyn Museum under the auspices of the Lithuanian American Women’s Committee preceding the Lithuanian Day at the World’s Fair. The time will be divided between business meetings and discussion and inspection of results of Lithuanian culture in connection with an exhibition of Lithuanian Handicraft which will be on view at the Museum.
