November 17, 1951: On Saturday, November 17th The Brooklyn Museum will an exhibition entitled “Turkey Today”, arranged cooperation with the Turkish Office of Information.
The exhibition will include examples of Turkish handicrafts such as embroideries, silver, and textiles, as well as photographs of old and new Turkey.
In addition, there will be a selection of paintings by children which reflect life in Turkey today. The exhibition will remain on view until December 16th.
On Saturday, November 17th, at 3:00 P.M., the Brooklyn Museum will present a program of Turkish Folk Music and Songs in connection with this exhibition. Admission to the public is free.
