  • October 2, 1973 The Brooklyn Museum Art School Fall series of one-man shows featuring the work of outstanding artists will open in the school’s Little Gallery on October 14 with “Abalone Series” an exhibition of paintings by Joellen Bard. A Max Beckmann scholarship student, Ms. Bard describes her work as “explorations into color experiences inspired by abalone shell reflections.” It will remain on view through November 1, 1973. Admission is free.

    Juried by the Museum’s curator of Paintings and Sculpture, Sarah Faunce, the Little Gallery series also includes:
