Catalogue Description:
Dark wooden elliptical shaped food bowl tapering at each end to a point. In the middle on each side, near the top rim, is a conventionalized human figure with outspread arms and separated legs. The faces are angular, jointed to the trunk of the body without any neck. The grooves of the figure design are filled with white pigment. On either side of each end of the bowl are serpentine-like designs and geometric motifs. In the center, on the bottom is a spiral, serpent motif. All designs are filled with white pigment. Condition: Excellent. Top rim slightly chipped in one small area.
