Catalogue Description:
Chest, poplar painted blue, lid hinged at back, ogee-shaped skirt with scalloped arch at center across; straight apron with slight scallops at ends, boxed feet; corners of chest dovetailed; grained light blue background; horizontal rows of combed half moons in dark blue; moons within each row face same direction, but direction alternates between rows. Condition: Left hinge not attached to top, left screw in this hinge is missing; right hinge loose, lid wired down front to molding; molding generally worn; apron split on left bracket; small red stain on apron; chips and scratches across front of lid; paint worn on top and numerous scratches; split at back left corner on top; worn around keyhole.
