Catalogue Description:
Pale yellow wrap skirt made of raffia. Composed of seven panels stitches together. The skirt is decorated with small appliqued linear and curvilinear shaped designs which are irregularly distributed. The appliqued designs are the same color as the cloth itself. One of the abstract configurations is a comma shaped motif called "shina boa" (the tail of a dog). CONDITION: Good. Some weakening of fibers and staining in some areas. A few applique motifs have been stitched over areas where the cloth has worn through. There is slight discoloration due to age.
