Catalogue Description: Armchair of white oak (Quercus species), each side of which is a single board, out of which has been cut legs and a teardrop shape (that defines arm). Spanning sides and apparently pegged in (or wood-capped screws) are single board rectangular seat and rectangular back with arcing lower edge. Pegs (or caps) line outer boards where sides meet seat and back. CONDITION: To be restored. All surfaces have stains and scratches; stains especially on sides. Numerous splits in wood; seat split entirely through center with cross-piece added to underside; proper left side has split; lower corners of arced back also entirely split. Top rear corners of sidepieces heavily worn with losses to outer edges, especially proper right side. All four feet heavily worn and scratched bottom with worst fear to rear feet.
