Catalogue Description:
Male figure standing on a circular base. Generally flat and long proportions. Large ovoid head, volumetric nose, and sagittal cap play against the planar face and simple incised lines of the eyes, mouth, spiral ears, breasts, navel. Arm bracelets and ankle carved in low relief. Smooth, light colored wood surface. Base decorated on outer wall with diagnostic Lake Sentani motifs. Condition: Fair. Several long cracks on the head and torso. Extensive scratches on proper right hip, calf and lower back. Water stain over groin area. Base: large section broken off and considerable erosion underneath.
