Catalogue Description:
Coffeepot, silver-plated white metal, of Turkish form. Bellied, low body is crumpled in alternating horizontal and vertical dents and sits on circular foot ring. Above is long, tapering neck which flares outward to ruffled rim. Gently curving s-shaped spout with crumpled section below a ring near juncture with body. C-shaped handle with crumpled section below a ring near juncture with body and another crumpled section between two rings at thumb piece. Rasped triangle where lid strikes handle. Domed, hinged lid, crumpled in lower section, with ball finial and rasped triangle lid strikes handle. Matte finish on body, neck, lower section of lid. Part of set with 1990.160.1-.5. CONDITION - Normal wear. Pinpoint dent on front on body above crumpled area. Hinge replaced with a straight pin.
