Catalogue Description: Ceramic effigy vessel with double-spout and bridge. White slip appears to have been applied to the vessel as a whole creating a white base over which subsequent color slips were applied. Painted atop bridge are two stepped motifs: one in cream-white; the other in orange. One spout is in the form of a woman's head with modeled nose and painted hair, eyes, and mouth. Top of head is somewhat flat. Painted on the body of the vessel are the woman's two hands, wrists, and lower parts of her arms that rest against a brown-orange ground representing a garment. Draped over her shoulders is a painted, cream-white mantle. On the mantle are representations of two killer whales in profile, each with an appendage filled with trophy heads, an orange-yellow face mask, an open mouth showing jaws full of sharp teeth; and two hands--one going towards the bridge of the vessel and the second going towards the bottom of the vessel. Base and rounded bottom of ceramic painted gray. Condition: good; spout and hole in center of head are worn and have minor chips.
